DUNCAN GRANT

Duncan James Corrowr Grant was a Scottish painter and a member of the Bloomsbury Group. He was born in 1885 and died in 1978.

Grant is best known for his painting style which developed in the wake of the French post impressionist exhibitions mounted in London around 1910.

His work was for years a synthesis of the colour of Henri Matisse and the controlled design of the later Cubists.
