Francis Bacon's "Three Studies for Self-Portrait" from 1975 was on everyones radar as four determined bidders vied for this work.
The Bacon triptych, made up of 14x12" panels went for well above its $20 million estimate. FrancisBacon began painting self-portraits in the 1960's and by the mid 1970's after the death of his partner, George Dyerhe had begun a series of self-portrait heads.

Introduced in 2007, the Goss-Michael Foundation Scholarship program has awarded over $30,000 in scholarships to Texas high-school seniors to provide them the means to further their education. Other foundation programming includes lecture series and artist talks by international artists and collectors with an artist-in-residence program on the horizon.
