BEAUTIFUL INSIDE MY HEAD FOREVER

Beautiful Inside My Head Forever is a major auction of works by Damien Hirst to be held at Sotheby's London on Monday 15th September 2008. The auction will include an important series of new pieces which have been created over the past two years.
Beautiful Inside my Head Forever follows the now legendary Pharmacy auction organised by Sotheby's in 2004 and which raised 11.1 million pounds.
The centrepiece for the upcoming auction will be The Golden Calf, a new sculpture of a bull in formaldehyde whose head is crowned by a solid gold disk and whose hooves and horns are cast in 18-carat solid gold.
You don't even want to know the estimate ! !

Well I want to know the estimate. For major art figures, it is no longer possible to separate their work from their prices. It becomes part of the medium. The medium of exchange if you will.
